Safe Steps β Victorian Family Violence Response

Victoria's 24/7 family violence response line. Emergency accommodation, safety planning, and immediate support for women and children escaping violence.
How to access this service
Who can use it: Women and children experiencing or escaping family violence in Victoria
What to do: Ring 1800 015 188 any time. They arrange emergency accommodation (motel or refuge), talk through safety, and refer to ongoing supports like Djirra. You don't need police involvement to call. Aboriginal-specific workers can be requested.
If you need a safe bed tonight, Safe Steps can arrange it. They pay for motel accommodation in the first instance while longer-term housing is sorted. Works closely with Djirra for Aboriginal women.
