VACCHO — Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation
Health & Medical · Covers Statewide (based in Melbourne)
Peak body for Victoria's 33 Aboriginal community-controlled health organisations. Policy, training, and a contact point to find the right local ACCHO.
How to access this service
Who can use it: Member ACCHOs, Aboriginal health workers, and community seeking referrals
What to do: Not a direct service provider — for clinical care contact MDAS or Robinvale District Health locally. Call VACCHO for help finding ACCHOs in other regions, sector-wide advocacy issues, or Aboriginal health worker training pathways.
VACCHO doesn’t deliver direct clinical care — they’re the peak body representing ACCHOs to government. Useful if you’re moving between regions and need an ACCHO referral, or if there’s a systemic issue that needs a peak body voice.
