Djirra
Family & Violence · Covers Statewide — workers based in Mildura serving the Mallee
Aboriginal-led family violence prevention and legal service for Aboriginal women and families. Legal advice, case workers, safety planning, Sisters Day Out, and Young Luv.
How to access this service
Who can use it: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families
What to do: Call the intake line. You don't need police involvement, a lawyer, or any paperwork — just ring. They'll listen and work out what you need. Workers can meet you in the community, not just in an office.
Djirra is Aboriginal-run and culturally safe. Their workers understand kinship, shame, and the system. Free, confidential, and no judgement — you don’t have to leave a relationship to get help. Call to ask about Sisters Day Out gatherings and Young Luv workshops in the Mallee.
