What to do: Call 1800 436 650 — they'll connect you with a Mallee worker. If Child Protection is already involved, ring VACCA first — they can advocate for you in meetings and make sure decisions are culturally right.

If DHHS / Child Protection is knocking on your door or has already taken kids, call VACCA before you do anything else. They can sit in meetings with you, push for kinship placements, and make sure cultural connection stays strong. Free and confidential.
